Etcetera Type Company (ETC)

New York·United States

Founded by Tyler Finck in 2018 in Ithaca, NY. Launched with two variable typefaces (Anybody and Grandstander), expanding to seven families. Google Fonts approached Finck to open-source his work — Epilogue alone has received 860+ million views in a single year. All ETC fonts are available on Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, and come pre-installed in Figma. Finck is also a core contributor to The League of Moveable Type, one of the first open-source type foundries, where he converted League Spartan, League Gothic, and Junction to variable fonts. Has designed typefaces for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Street Journal. Philosophy: "I'd release everything I make with an open source license if I could earn a living doing so."
